You'll find experiences for all ages on your family holiday at the child-friendly Chalet Goldbergspitze in Austria. Discover our toddler equipment in the chalet, a large children's playground in the complex, a children's ski practice lift on your doorstep and, in summer, the shallow area in the large swimming pond/nature pool. For an extra dose of motivation while hiking, we highly recommend the slide trail on the Wildkogel: ten different stainless steel slides provide fun and diversion along the way. In their excitement, the little ones may not even notice how many metres in altitude they have just climbed. Up on the mountain, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views, an adventure playground and refreshment stops. If the way up seems too arduous, you can take the Wildkogel cable car at any time of year and use the slide trail as a family-friendly descent option that's fun for everyone.

Family-friendly configuration

Our child-friendly chalet offers plenty of space on 165 m² for a wonderful holiday with the whole family: four bedrooms with double beds and an additional pull-out couch mean that grandparents can come along too. Once the little ones are in bed, the grown-ups can enjoy a cosy evening in front of the open fire or in the sauna.

Everything is ready for your arrival: the baby cot is made up, highchairs and baby bath are waiting for you. In the fully equipped kitchen-dining room, you can prepare delicious family meals and quick snacks at any time – e.g. with freshly baked croissants or bread rolls delivered to your door. If you prefer a break from the kitchen, the team in the chalet village restaurant* will be happy to spoil you. And if your clothes or linen get soiled, never fear because you’ll find a washing machine and dryer in the chalet itself.

Stair gate in the chalet
Good as gold

A holiday with children can be full of surprises – hopefully only the very best ones! For the safety of our younger guests, stair gates are installed on all floors of the child-friendly chalet. A fence surrounds our outdoor area so that no child can wander unnoticed into the nearby stream or onto the neighbouring ski run. Our house is completely smoke-free.

Comfy and sociable: where everyone comes together
Plenty to keep them occupied

Chalet Goldbergspitze also offers interesting activities for older children and teenagers. You’re sure to spend your winter days on the ski lift right at your doorstep. In summer you can enjoy the large swimming pond/nature pool in the chalet village or go mountain biking. After a long day on mountain trails and exhilarating descents on the slide trail, a round of table football in the chalet will revitalise team spirit. Five Smart TVs, a cosy sofa corner, sauna, wellness room and covered, wide-vista balconies are available for rest and relaxation. And for your likes and stories, there is of course WLAN for our guests.

Directions

From Kitzbühel, take the B161 southbound to Mittersill. Here you follow the B165 Gerlospass / Krimml (first exit at the roundabout) in the direction of Neukirchen am Großvenediger. As soon as you have left Neukirchen behind you, please note that some satnavs misdirect you here by leading you from the north via a road that is often closed with a barrier (this is a dead end that, just before you reach your destination, forces you to return all the way back to the main road). So it’s better to approach the chalet village from the south: Shortly after the little wood on the right-hand side, you will see the green “Nationalpark Chalets” signs on the right-hand side of the road. Turn right here and follow the signs uphill. The first thing you see in the chalet village is the building with the lounge and reception.

If you come via Gerlos Pass, turn left onto the B165. The exit to the chalet village is about 150 metres after the Gasthof Venedigerblick. On the left-hand side of the road you will see the green “Nationalpark Chalets” sign.
